  • Product description: 1 Ton Reverse Osmosis Equipment; RO membrane pore size 0.0001 um (0.1 nm).

Reverse Osmosis separation, R.O. system, is a process that adopt reverse osmosis membrane to selectively permeate solvent and intercept ionic substance. The static pressure difference between the two sides of the membrane is used as a driving force to overcome the osmotic pressure of the solvent, so that the solvent passes through the reverse osmosis membrane to achieve objective liquid.

The reverse osmosis membrane has a dense surface skin structure with pore diameter of 0.1 nm - 1 nm,  and the thickness is about 0.25 um, which plays a key role in desalination.  next layer is a porous support layer with loose structure and pore diameter of 100 - 400 nm.  There is also a transition layer with a pore size of about 20 um in between. The total thickness of the Reverse Osmosis membrane is around 100um. The moisture content is about 60%.

Reverse osmosis membrane could separate various inorganic ions, colloidal substances and macromolecular solutes in water to produce pure water. The desalination rate of the membrane is greater than 99.3%.

Reverse osmosis membranes are a key component of reverse osmosis technology. In practice, membrane fouling is the main cause of service life. In order to effectively protect the reverse osmosis membrane, the reverse osmosis system must be equipped with a pretreatment system to remove suspended solids, organic matter, colloidal substances, microorganisms, bacteria and certain harmful substances by pretreatment, so that the water quality index meets the water inflow requirements of the reverse osmosis system.

The reverse osmosis separation process has its unique advantages over other traditional separation processes:

(1) Pressure is the main driving force of the reverse osmosis separation process, and does not undergo phase transition of energy-intensive exchange, and the energy consumption is low;

(2) Reverse osmosis does not require a large amount of precipitant and adsorbent, and the operating cost is low;

(3) The reverse osmosis separation process is simple in design and operation, and the construction period is short;

(4) Reverse osmosis purification has high efficiency and is more environmentally friendly.

Therefore, reverse osmosis technology has been widely used in domestic and industrial water treatment, such as desalination of seawater and brackish water, production of medical and industrial water, preparation of pure water and ultra-pure water, industrial wastewater treatment, food processing and concentration, Gas separation, etc.

Based on quality and component of water source and the requirement of final pure water,we customize the most suitable process technology and solution for customer.
